I spent the last two years creating this collection and pulled inspiration from my childhood in the California heartland - the great Central Valley - circa 1980s. I remember tagging along with my dad to the local country store and getting lost in the Western Wear section. The detailed embroidery of the vintage button-downs that had been sitting there for years always caught my attention.

As a child growing up in the California heartland, my eye was always drawn to the area’s bold details in Western motifs by way of pinstriping, side saddles, and cow prints. When I saw bandanas and fringe in one of my favorite designer’s recent collections, naturally the Western spirit inside me was awakened.
