Do you charge sales tax? We are not required to charge sales tax on any orders seeing as we operate our business out of the state of Oregon which is completely tax free.
What types of payment to you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Paypal.
If I place an order, when will I be charged? All orders are charged at the time the order is placed. If an item is on backorder you will still be charged in full at the time the order is placed and the ship date will be indicated in the product title.
How long will it take to receive my order? It is our priority to deliver your order in a timely manner. All product lead-times are indicated in the product description. Domestic orders are processed between 1-7 business days from the time the order is placed. International orders are processed 6-10 business days from the time the order is placed. If you need to rush your order, please e-mail us at email@example.com and we will do our best to work with your timeline.

If I ordered multiple items, will all my items ship together? It depends on what was ordered. Shipping lead-times vary between products. You will receive a tracking number for each item once it has shipped.
If my items are shipped separately will I be charge extra for shipping? No, all domestic orders ship free, all year long! International orders are subject to the rates quoted by Global Shopex.
Sold out items? It is our goal to keep our products and designs fresh and new. Once a design is sold out it is up to our product development team if we bring it back or if another is released in it’s place. So our advice is don’t wait, get ‘em while they’re hot!
What countries do you ship to? Bonjour, Hallo, Kon’nichiwa, Hola! We gladly ship all over the globe via our partner, GlobalShopex.com. Simply add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and choose the “International Checkout” option. The Global Shopex checkout page will allow you to see the cost for shipping, duties and taxes upfront. You may prepay duties and taxes when you check out or, pay upon delivery. If you prepay, there will be no additional funds collected upon delivery. Global Shopex handles the international checkout and will process your payment and guarantee delivery. How can I guarantee the color tone of the products I am purchasing? Please note that all monitors register color differently. We will ship the color and style of product as stated on order invoice. All of our products are made to order; therefore, all sales are final. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns based on color tone discrepancies. If you have concerns regarding color we highly recommend ordering a sample prior to placing an order or working with our interior design team in placing a custom color order.
Are any of your products Fire Retardant? None of our products are fire retardant treated. If you require this and a certificate of treatment, you will need to provide that at your own expense.
Do you accept returns? We want you to be happy with your purchase but if for any reason you are not, please contact us and we will help guide you through our return process. We only accept returns and exchanges on products that are not made to order and unused. All discounted items are final sale and cannot be returned. All of our drapery, wallpaper, fabric by the yard and gift wrap purchases are final sale items and may not be returned. Returns and exchanges on backdrops and duffle bags are only accepted 10 days after you receive your order if unused and in original packaging. drop it MODERN will not accept returns or exchanges after the 10 day return period ends. If your order is not returned in its original packaging it will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
How do I return or exchange an item? If you are eligible for a return or exchange, you are welcome to ship us back your unused purchase for another product of equal or greater value or for store credit within 10 days of your purchase date. Please e-mail our customer service department at email@example.com or give us a call at 559.735.9790. Please include in your message your order # and item(s) you wish to return or exchange. In the event that you are eligible for a return, we will provide you with a return label, the expense of which will be deducted from your exchange or return once it has been processed. drop it MODERN is not liable for return shipping expenses. All exchanges/returns will be processed after the return has been received and inspected by drop it MODERN. As a part of our return policy, please keep in mind that all customers are required to manually agreed and accepted the terms of our return and exchange policy upon checkout by clicking the "Terms & Conditions" check box regarding protocol for all returns and exchanges on all of our products.
If I mail back a return when can I expect to be refunded? Please allow 5-7 business days for your return to reach us. Upon inspection of the product we will process your return or exchange minus shipping costs.
What does "Final Sale" mean? Final Sale means that the product you purchased may not be returned or exchanged under any circumstances.
Is my order secure? Your privacy is a top priority to us while you are shopping on our site. Any and all information collected on this site will be kept strictly confidential, and will not be sold, disclosed third parties, or reused without your permission unless a customer decides to dispute a charge or take legal action against drop it MODERN LLC.

We are more than happy to assist! *Helpful tip: When wallpapering a wall that includes a door or window, that missing square footage does not effect the overall calculations of paper needed to cover that wall. In order for the design to match seamlessly across we need to include those areas with doors and windows in your measurements. So please do not subtract the width of your doors and windows from your measurements.
Recommended Questions/Points to go over with your wallpaper installer: 1. Confirm that all drop it MODERN wallpapers come with a trim that will need to be removed prior to installation 2. Go over wall measurements with your installer and the number of panels you have ordered. Every installer has their own technique and the more each of you know about the paper sizing and measurements prior to the job the more seamlessly your project installation will be! Custom Printing drop it MODERN is happy to offer all our wallpaper, drapery, fabric by the yard and gift wrap in a various number of personalized printing ways, including custom colors, custom repeats or even bringing back a discontinued pattern specially for you. All custom orders will incur a 20% design fee of the order total. How do I know what type of fabric to use for my project? Our drapery and fabric by the yard come in a number of different types of textures. We suggest ordering a sample in the design and type you are interested in purchasing before placing an order. It is extremely beneficial to see and feel the difference between each fabric type to achieve the best results for your interior and apparel projects. Also, each fabric prints color differently and we suggest ordering a sample prior to purchasing so you can see how the color output differs between each fabric type. Please reference our Fabric Type page to view more information on the materials we offer and suggested applications.
Can I return my custom order? Unfortunately all custom orders are final sale items and may not be returned.
Can I use the personalizations from my custom order to represent my business/brand as artwork on my website, blog, etc.? All images and graphics created for customized projects are Copyright of drop it MODERN LLC. and may not be used or reproduced without permission. BACKDROPS + GEAR
What's the difference between your backdrops verses others in the industry? drop it MODERN is a company created by photographers for photographers. Each material is tested and thoughtfully chosen to cater best to experts in the field of photography looking for that extra standard of quality.
Proper Hanging Each drop it MODERN backdrop comes with a 4″ loop sewn into the top and bottom for use in any hanging scenario. To be sure that your backdrop is hanging right-side up, check to see that the tag is hanging from the top.
Care & Cleaning
1. Fabric Backdrops, Non-metallic only: All of our fabric backdrops are made up of a polyester blended fabric and are 100% machine washable. They can take minimal heat without any damage to the integrity of the fabric. Steaming heat may be applied to the front or backside of these backdrops as needed to remove wrinkles.
2. Fabric Backdrops with metallic: All of our metallic fabric backdrops are made up of a polyester blended material with a metallic foil overlay. The foil overlay may not be subject to heat or it will run the risk of damaging the backdrop. You may wash this backdrop on the delicate cycle and hang to dry. Steaming heat may be applied to the backside of these backdrop as needed to remove wrinkles.
3. Sequin Backdrops™: All of our Sequin Backdrops™ are made of a woven silk blend and may be steamed from the backside only as needed to remove wrinkles. The heat will not damage the sequin pailettes. Our Sequin Backdrops™ are not to be washed at home. Spot cleaning or professional dry cleaning only is recommended for these types of backdrops.
