Your choice of wallpaper sets the tone for a whole room — it’s a commitment. And making that decision from a tiny rectangle of a computer screen can feel a bit tricky. We get it. Our goal is to help you feel amazing about ordering with us, starting by answering your biggest questions.

How fast will I receive my order?
All of our wallpaper products are made to order in the USA with a 3-4 week lead time. Rush processing is $250 for a 7 business day production time. Please select the best shipping speed for your project at checkout. If ordering a customized product, the 7 business day production time begins AFTER final approval of proof.

All wallpaper samples ship out every Tuesday of the week and the cut-off time is 12pm PST on Monday. If you need samples sooner, please contact us and we will work hard to accommodate.

Do you offer rush processing?
YES! Rush processing for wallpaper orders is $250 for a 7 business day production time. This upgrade is available on every wallpaper product page. If ordering a customized product, the 7 business day production time begins AFTER final approval of proof. Please select the best shipping speed for your project at checkout. 

Need samples in a hurry? (Been there.) Contact us and we’ll do our best to meet your timeline.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide via Fedex. You won’t have to fill out any special forms, as our international shipping rates will automatically populate when you check out. Not seeing an international option for a product you want? Email us right here and we’ll get it figured out.

If I ordered multiple items, will all my items ship together?
It depends on what was ordered. Shipping lead-times vary between products. You will receive a tracking number for each item once it has shipped. 

Should I order a sample?
We highly recommend ordering a sample to confirm color and paper type prior to placing your order. Computer screens register color differently and seeing a sample in person will eliminate any guesswork. Because all orders are printed to order, all sales are final and a sample ensures you will love what you ordered. 

Our wallpaper samples are to scale, showing the actual size of the design. They are printed on a per-project basis to share the most accurate materials and colors.

We highly recommend ordering a sample to confirm color and paper prior to placing your order. Computer screens register color differently and seeing a sample in person will eliminate any guesswork. All sales are final.

Samples can be purchased on every product page for $7. Samples ship free to US and Canada.

Wallpaper samples ship on Tuesdays. The order cut-off time is 12pm PST on Monday. Sample orders placed after 12pm PST on Monday will ship the following week. 

If you need samples sooner, please contact us and we will work hard to accommodate.

Wallpaper Installers
We recommend hiring a professional wallpaper installer to hang your drop it MODERN wallpaper. Here are some helpful links to get you started:

Confirm a few things with your installer. Here’s a handy list: 
- Let them know our wall coverings arrive with a trim that will need to be removed prior to installation.
- They should also understand our paper is also untrimmed, which gives them more control, but this is best left to highly-skilled installers. More info here.
- Go over measurements, materials and installation instructions to make sure it fits their technique.

Do you sell to the trade?
We love our customers and are proud to only sell directly to consumers. All our products are made to order and manufactured in house. As a result, we are not able to offer trade discounts. If you need additional assistance on a custom wallpaper job for a spectacular residential project or want to discuss paper or timing for your commercial project, we are here to help. 

What’s your return + exchange policy?
We’re so sorry, but since everything is made to order, all sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. Email us if you have any questions regarding our return policies.

We use the highest quality materials and craftsmanship in the production of our designs and wall coverings, and we also carefully inspect each product before shipment. When your order arrives, start by verifying the pattern and quantity before opening the first roll. Then, check for any defects. Find something that’s not right? Stop immediately (don’t ever install defective material) and Email us so we can correct your order.

Since every wall covering is made to order, slight variances in color, output and tone are pretty common. And because computer and phone screens register color differently, we always recommend ordering a sample before purchasing to confirm you like the printed version. If your wall covering has arrived and the color isn’t what you expected, we still cannot accept returns or exchanges, or offer refunds. 

How much paper do I need to order?
That’s a great question — and one your wallpaper installer can definitely help you answer. (That’s our subtle way of saying now’s a great time to tap one for your project.) Before ordering wallpaper, have a professional wallpaper installer on site to measure your space. Installers will confirm how much wallpaper to order by measuring your space and assessing unusual architectural elements to your job such as staircases, windows, doors, chair rail, etc. Installation practices vary which dictates the amount of paper your installer will need to complete the job.

If you don’t have one yet, that’s okay! You can find one here. 

The number of panels depends on the size of your room and its dimensions. So here’s our recommendation: measure the height and width of every wall and don’t subtract anything for doors or windows (we’ll need to include those areas to keep our pattern consistent). Remember, the final quantity is on you, so if you still have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We always recommend purchasing one extra panel in the same order to ensure consistent color output for your project (and you’re covered if you need it).

*Please note- the final quantity ordered is ultimately the Buyers Responsibility. Drop it MODERN® will not be responsible for paper shortages. We will ship what is listed on order invoice. Please reference our Wallpaper Page for more information. 

Are any of your products fire retardant?
None of our products are fire retardant treated. If you require this and a certificate of treatment, you will need to provide that at your own expense. 

How does payment work?
Your credit card will be charged at the time your order is placed even if it’s custom or backordered.

How can I track my order?
You can email us at any time and we will provide you with your order status. You will receive a tracking number for each item once it has shipped.

Can I use the personalizations from my custom order to represent my business/brand as artwork on my website, blog, etc.?
